EAT SHOP WIN!
The Fourth Annual Proctor Chocoolate martinis. In addition to excellent treats, a multitude of chocolate-related activities and events will fill the District. It’s a fun, family-friendly experience of satisfying sweet for everyone.
PASSPORT to PRIZES: Wednesday through Saturday, participants pick up a Proctor Chocolate Festival Passport to begin their chocolate-covered experience at any of the following Proctor locations: Metropolitan Market, Giardini Gift and Garden, Safeway, Megs & Mo Upscale Resale, Pacific Northwest Shop, American National Insurance, and Jubilee Cupcakes & Vintage Candy. Then shop over 40 participating businesses to get a sticker to fill in the passport. Passports with a minimum of 15 stickers complete can be dropped off at the above businesses to be entered in the drawing for prizes from local businesses.
COMMUNITY BAKE-OFF:Saturday, Oct. 9 at 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Knapp’s Restaurant. Cooper’s Collision will sponsor prizes for this two category event. Cakes/brownies and bars/cookies can be entered. The only rule is that chocolate must be a main ingredient. Bring your entry at 3:00 p.m. with a copy of the recipe. First ($50) and second ($25) prizes in both categories will be awarded.
COMMUNITY PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Saturday, 9:00-11:00 AM at Defiance Masonic Lodge (near the post office). This free community breakfast will feature chocolate chip pancakes and Starbucks coffee. Bring the family! Donations will be accepted.
METROPOLITAN MARKET EVENTS: Proctor’s Metropolitan Market will have a variety of activities during Chocolate Fest. Thursday from 12:00–3:00 p.m. and 4:00–7:00 p.m.: Chocolate and Gluten Free demonstration. Friday, same times: Chocolate and Cheese demonstration. Saturday from 12:00-4:00 p.m.: a variety of delectable chocolate tastings.
MEGS & MO UPSCALE RESALE: Friday afternoon: Chocolate Martini’s and brownie bites from their neighbor, CAPERS TAKE HOME EATERY. Lisa Murphy of megs & mo ventures over to Caper’s often for their amazing brownies. Others rave that Caper’s Chocolate Cremeaux is the most amazing super rich chocolate pudding in the world. Stop by for a sweet treat.
ELEV8FITNESS: To help work off all the chocolate, try this FREE FITNESS CLASS at 9:30 a.m.
SUGAR will offer a “Sweet Treat” with purchase. POMODORO will offer a $4 chocolate martini.
JUBILEE will offer a specialty 4-pack of cupcakes, with a Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Vanilla and Maple Bacon cupcake.
Over 40 Proctor businesses will feature specials and discounts related to chocolate. Come and enjoy!
